MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Thank you for following and reading my blog! May every warmth and joy of the season be with you today. Since a new star first appeared above Bethlehem, Christmas has been a season of light, reminding us that Jesus Christ is the light of the world. Together, we can celebrate His birth by making the world a brighter place. All we have to do is follow Him—His life, His example, and His teachings. May we feel the love, peace, joy and fellowship with family and friends. AND May the yuletide spirit fill your heart and home with an abundance of mercy, contentment, laughter and harmony. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

JAVA THE RICE AND THE FOLDED SCRAMBLED EGGS

It’s Saturday! You know what that means? Today, I’m cooking for breakfast.

I wake up late this morning around passed 7am. I feel lazy waking up early today because it’s Saturday and I haven’t figure out what to cook for breakfast until I saw some cold left over rice from last night. So, I’m thinking to make a simple garlic fried rice.

When I see some eggs in the fridge and ketchup I’m thinking to make Omurice, but in the end I’m glad I went with the folded over scrambled eggs and Java the rice.

To do this you will need: Margarine or cooking oil, minced garlic, cooked rice or left over rice, UFC Banana Catsup, and beef loaf (optional) for making Java the Rice.

Then 3 eggs for the folded scrambled eggs.

Prepare and massage left over rice. Like this in the picture below.

In a frying pan, sauté garlic in a small amount of cooking oil. You can use butter or margarine here. Add left over rice and stir for 2-3 minutes. Then, pour UFC Banana Catsup and mix well until rice is well-coated. Then set aside in a nice bowl.

PHILIPPINES ENGAGEMENT SESSION: HOYOHOY HIGHLAND ADVENTURE PARK - LEA HANNA + JACOB

How adorable the engagement session of my sister Lea Hanna and my future brother in-law Jacob! I had a great time photographing them in Tangub City at Hoyohoy Highland Adventure Park using the iphone6 camera of my future brother-in-law. I had so much fun playing and composing their poses under the heat of the sun, and even though it was pretty hot, Lea Hanna and Jacob still got cuddly to each other. I am looking forward to their wedding next year in Salt Lake, Utah.

WHERE ONE DOOR CLOSES, ANOTHER OPENS

I have observed that life has a full share of ups and downs. I’ve been through all of these experiences in life. Indeed, I’ve experience many joys and many sorrows in this world, many plans changed and many new directions.

I tell you, it’s not always easy. There are times I wasn’t sure how things would work out. Sometimes I have so many questions like why these things happening to me? When are things going to happen?

However there is someone keeps telling me:

“Life is like that… as long as we progressive and grow, then it is fine. The most important thing is hold your head up high. You have everything to look forward to. Keep the faith. Be strong. You are strong, you are capable, you are talented and you are wonderful. Just believe in yourself. Never doubt yourself. Never doubt.”

GOOD FOOD FROM FRESH INGREDIENTS

I wake up 6:30 am today. Yes! I’m an early riser. I always wake up early to prepare food for our breakfast, and also I’m very excited to use my new fry pan that I mention from my last posting.

Today’s breakfast menu is scrambled eggs! I will be cooking scrambled eggs with tomatoes and spring onions. I love tomatoes so much. I love eating it raw. I have tomato plant before and it was so sweet to the taste. I will plant again tomatoes when I can get a new garden pots. I plant my tomatoes in a pot and it grows beautifully. I love eating spring onions as well. Right now, I have plenty of spring onions planted in my little garden.

WHEN YOU FIND THE PERFECT FRY PAN FOR YOU

Wow, my brother is already grown up! He volunteered himself to pay our lunch today. We are very happy when he said that “I will treat you lunch today.” Hearing those statement from him sounds good to our ears. My Mom immediately ordered 3 plates of fried pork chops with rice, 1 plate of palabok, 1 plate of spaghetti, 3 glasses of orange juice and 2 pieces of fresh lumpia. He paid our meals for Php252 only. The feeling was really good when someone in the family member treat you for a meal. I thank my brother for treating us meal today! :)

FLORAL LACE SKIRT

It’s Sunday! The best day of the week. I love Sunday because this is the day I can only wear beautiful Sunday outfits. However, the most important of this day is to worship and renewing our covenants to the Lord.

The highlight of my Sunday outfit of the day is my floral lace skirt. I love this skirt so much. It’s year 2010 when I first bought this at Korean store. I was attracted when I saw this at the store. I love the gradient color effect of this skirt. The floral patterns makes it more lively and playful to the skirt.

The most interesting part of this skirt is that the floral black patterns is see-through. It has above the knee black lining attachment to the skirt and pairing it with black pantyhose makes it modest. For the top, I wanted it to be plain in style. I don’t add any accessory since I want to highlight the skirt only. The black pumps suits really well to my outfit and the bag as well. Perfect!

TWO COLORS ARE ENOUGH

Happy Monday everyone! Just two colors to brighten up your week. ;) This skirt is quite amazing during windy because the material is very light. I love pairing it with my white strappy heels and my white polo long sleeves. Just blue and white are enough. ;)

I don’t have more nice shoots of this outfit. This is the only one nice shoots I got. ;) Hope you have a great week and thank you so much for reading this quick blog post!

GRILLED KITONG FISH

INSTAGRAM/coolkirstie

After a long hours studying in Trainers Methodology. It’s time to treat myself for a very good lunch. I ordered grilled kitong fish for myself. Also known as Rabbitfish. This fish is a good fish. It often stuffed with onions, tomatoes, and spices and grilled. Their thick skin helps keep the fish falling apart while grilling. This is one of my favorite fish because I don’t have allergies in Kitong fish unlike to other fish namely; Kutob and Pirit (sorry I don’t know the English name of these fish I mentioned) I suffer allergies when those fish are not fresh and already itchy to eat. I will turned to red and cannot breath that is why I always have anti-allergies medicine with me.

I remember when I was a kid my mom always cooking boiled okra for us and we used to dip it to vinegar with salt. I really don’t like it. It made me choke when I ate it because of its sliminess. It was very funny, I always made a frown while eating this kind of food. I was feel like sweating while swallowing it and I get choke in the end. Haha

THE LITTLE SEED

I’m writing this on behalf of my previous blog post which I talk about the seed that never sprouts and blooms no matter how hard the gardener is trying… And it’s just like me when no matter how much hard I try, it never works and the seed doesn’t bloom.

REVEALING MY SECRET

I have always worn an item of underclothing all of my skirt and dress outfits, which is a silky slip. Slips are awesome since the time I’ve been wearing them over a year ago. I never really paid any attention to lingerie slips before. I used to be that girl who didn’t pay much attention to them or care all that much.

PRETTY UGLY

What’s wrong with that plant? It’s not sprouting. It needs to sprout in order for it to bloom. I’ve seen the gardener always caring for it and giving it water. The gardener cared for it 100 times…No, 1,000 times harder…than anyone else. But why isn’t it sprouting?

TRAVEL DIARY: TOUCH DOWN THE VENICE GRAND CANAL!

My sister and I had a long journey to McKinley Hill, Taguig City to see the beautiful and one of a kind tourist spot “The Venice Grand Canal”. It was fun because our way to The Venice and our way back home was quite adventure. Why? because we know how to get there but don’t know how to get home. After we realized that we are already lost in going back home, we just looked and stare each other and laughed at ourselves with lots of troubles in our mind. However, our quest back home must go on haha! Overall, the trip was very fun experience that I ever had in my whole life!

SOPHISTICATED IN BLACK AND GOLD

I’ve been on the hunt for a lovely midi skirt lately. Midis are more modest that look great with pretty pumps or heels, wedges and flat sandals. The hunt was over when I found this flowing midi skirt at affordable price. I was very lucky!

CLASSIC BLACK

From top to bottom, black on black action today. I wore this outfit last Sunday and greatly appreciate how accessories and a pair of black pantyhose can elevate an outfit. I left two unbuttoned down to show off my beautiful white pearl necklace. Plus, I love the slit of my skirt it showcase my black pantyhose. It may seem like such a small thing but it’s the small details that can break one’s look. What do you think? Agree?

ROSE QUARTZ AND LAVENDER FOG

When Pantone introduces two shades for the first time, Rose Quartz (Pale Pink) and Serenity (Soft Blue) as the PANTONE Color of the Year 2016, I was very happy because these colors are my favorites. I love subtle and soft colors like the one I’m wearing Rose Quartz and Lavender Fog. Pantone define Rose Quartz a persuasive yet gentle tone that conveys compassion and a sense of composure and Serenity is weightless and airy bringing feelings of respite and relaxation even in turbulent times.
